Firefox 3.0 or new Internet Explorer 7.0 ?
I just downloaded Mozilla Firefox 3.0 because I had to in order to participate in another online community and I just wanted to gush about it. It's awesome! I'm not a techie so I'm easily impressed, I guess. :-)
I recently had to download IE 7.0 and thought it was a nice upgrade but Firefox blows it away! Just wanted to know what other people think and discuss features of both.
One thing about Firefox that I love is that it will ask you if you want it to remember your passwords. This is so good for me...I'm always forgetting them! Some sites have this feature but many don't. This option pops up on Firefox no matter what. Love it!
One thing I did find confusing about it at first was that it leaves windows open differently so that you can accidentally close all the windows you have open at once. Took a few times before I figured that one out! lol

I love the change to Firefox too, Eunice!!! ;-)
The use of tabs all in one 'window' was a bit unsettling at first...
I didn't realize how often I wanted/needed/used two windows open side by side.
Yet once I realized I could go up to File and found the choice to open a new window as well as a new tab... I got the BEST of both worlds!!!

Okay - I did it and looks good -- one caveat for people who already have a lot of extensions/add-ons installed ... there were exactly 2 of my 15 or so that were compatible with this newest version. They seem to all be installed still, but you know how that goes ;-)
I'm sure the developers will catch up asap, but if there's something you use daily, might wanna check first at the add-on page to see that you'll have a seamless experience.
Ahh the adventure of technology :)
Does seem to be working faster than the last version for me ... that's pretty sweet! Oooh and there's a script error that I was getting on a couple of sites seems to be better (maybe gone!) too. Very cool.
