I've really gotten into Twitter lately as I've seen how others like Ed Dale use it to market and keep followers abreast of what they are doing. I've been posting things like new blog pages, etc.
I posted my Twitter url on BellaOnline in the business coach forum and several others there did also so we're following each other. They all have websites, squidoo pages, etc too so it's interesting.
Oh YES! I LOVE twitter... and for me it's fun and value is ramped up by using a desktop tool that allows people's tweets to pop up immediately, giving me the opportunity to engage in a conversation immediately.
Because I got word through Twitter about Pat O'Brian's UnSeminar being streamed live a couple of weeks ago... I was able to hear Donna Fox's wonderful presentation about Marketing to Women...
And just today I moved a relationship forward a step via twitter resulting in a new contributor to one of my magazines!!!
And because it's micro-blogging... it hones my skill at brevity and specificity without costing me a lot of time!

Terrific Mary! I'm following you too now. I think the trick is to follow those who might have valuable input for you, like with your presentations and see when your friends add a new blog post or website page, etc. I've actually gotten emails from some network marketers that I keep up with via newsletters, etc, with their Twitter addresses.
I'm trying to steer clear of just adding random people who twitter about brushing their teeth, etc -lol.
Very funny, Joan! Anyway, I just joined today and look forward to using it to save some time and get the word out about what I'm doing...when it's not brushing my teeth - lol.
I can see where this would be true -- also, once you personally know some of the people who are following you it seems like it would cause you to be a valuable resource ... or at least that would be the leaning for Attraction Marketers, eh??
Not sure about the code part did it end up working for you? If so I could throw it onto a webpage somewhere ...
Hello! Twitter IS Awesome! I have had several opt-ins from Twitter for a few of my affiliate programs.
There is a great Twitter training Mike Klingler did a few days ago over at Renegade University. Just a sample of some of the cool social marketing training over at Renegade University.
How are you? Hopefully my note finds that all is well. I first became aware of
TWITTER approximately one month ago when I noticed that several CNN News anchors were incorporating messages sent from its viewing audience from TWITTER into their newscasts. I joined TWITTER nearly 2 weeks ago. While I think I understand the concept -- i.e., getting other "TWITTERERS" to follow you so that you create a network and it is my understanding that many entrepreneurs use TWITTER as a means of networking, I'm stymied as to how I should proceed in transforming a following on TWITTER into sales leads and revenue.
