Wish I'd had an Organic Baby
My only daughter is now 22 years old and a college student, bless her heart. Seems like yesterday she was a cute little 2 year old, with her cropped, curly hair and carrying her little purse. She never went anywhere without that purse.
Even back then, I was into doing things more naturally if I could, but there weren't many products around that were organic. About the time she was one year old and drinking apple juice, they had a big scare about the pesticides in apple juice, which petrified me. Then they started on grapes. When my daughter was little, she was a VERY picky eater. Seems like she existed on turkey ham, cheese and grapes for about 2 years!
As she grew up and more organics became available, I used them. We took vitamins, ate organic food and started our day with a smoothie filled with great, healthy ingredients. I even planted a strawberry bed because strawberries are generally loaded with pesticides and my daughter loved them. I can only hope that the way we lived later in her life will keep her healthy now at the cellular level so any damage done by what she ate and drank back then will be nullified. Even as a college student, I'm proud of the fact that all the lessons in organics and vitamins stuck with her and she continues to live a healthy life.
What drew me to Miessence as a product, actually, was that they had organic skin care products. My daughter has some problems with breakouts and I felt the organics for problem skin would help her - and it did! Even though I use Miessence skin products, their organic toothpaste and organic cleaning products, I'm still in the "mother mode" of buying organics with my daughter in mind.

I wish there had been organics when my kids were babies, too! Maybe if I had paid more attention to my own health back then, I wouldn't have to be struggling with the health problems I have now. :-(
Oh well, no use in lamenting my poor health habits of the past. I'm just glad to have so many choices in organic products now.
