Twitter for Beginners
Out of the thousands upon thousands of social networking and web 2.0 sites on the web, my personal favorite happens to be Twitter.
It has a Google Page Rank (PR) of 8 and is a very viral form of marketing!
Not to mention…
It’s Easy,
It’s Effective
AND
You get to easily brand yourself and stay in front of others.
And what’s really nice is you can develop a very quick following on Twitter compared to other social networking sites.
Twitter is considered a micro-blogging social networking and content sharing site.
Twitter allows you to post short 140 character comments to your Twitter friends updating them on your daily whereabouts. You can update your friends with anything relating to your business or personal/leisure life.
Twitter enables you to keep your face in front of all those following you with your “tweets” (micro blog posts) so you brand yourself.
Word of caution…When you post, you want to strike a balance of personal and business related posts so that you are not perceived as a spammer!
What makes Twitter so viral is that you can include a URL linking to whatever you are promoting (i.e. blog, capture page), and someone who follows you may very well be interested in what you have to offer. Your followers can also potentially post a tweet with YOUR URL in their post spreading the word to their followers.
In addition there are several other social networking sites, such as Facebook, that allow you to connect your Twitter account to it so that your other social networks see your last “tweets” and possibly begin following you on Twitter. You can even have Twitter hooked up to your blog. There are several Wordpress plugins for Twitter.

For a very basic understanding of how Twitter works sign up for a free account at Renegade University. Once you are logged in, click on step 3 towards the bottom “Become a professional Attraction Marketer” and on the far left click on “Introduction to Twitter” webinar.

The search feature is great. I put in attraction marketing and came up with 75 tweeters. I picked out a few to follow who seemed to be putting out good info and most are following me back.
It is much easier than most of the social networking sites out there in that it's so quick and easy to use.
BTW, I've been plugging Natural Networkers on there every now and then.
